Fun in the ‘jungle’
Jungle Gym (junglegym.my), labelled as a Kids Adventure Playground, caters for events for both children and adults.
This venue, modelled after the natural beauty of a jungle, can accommodate 120 to 400 children, said Jessey Leong, marketing manager of Jungle Gym.
There are three outlets: Bangsar Shopping Centre (Kuala Lumpur), Atria Shopping Gallery (Petaling Jaya, Selangor) and SkyAvenue (Genting Highlands).
Besides the playland areas for children and “Baby Land”, there are party areas (Zebra Area, Lion Area, Monkey Area and Little Chef Kitchen) for you to host your event for two hours or more. These are different areas for guests to host their kids’ birthday parties or for its in-house events such as cupcake baking sessions.
Toddlers’ rates (below two years) are RM23.60 (weekdays) and RM33.20 (weekends, public and school holidays). Children pay RM45.50 (weekdays) and RM55 (weekends, public and school holidays).
The venue management requires guardians to be present to supervise their children, for kids aged below seven years old. Adults pay RM4.80 each and they can sit and talk with other adults while their children play in a safe environment.
Some families throw parties for their child in a restaurant or fastfood joint. But this outlet may be a notch up in terms of its indoor play area.
There is also no hassle about what food to serve because you can make prior arrangements with a minimum spending of RM1,500. There’s a menu to pick from. For sweet treats, “a candy buffet line” offers choices of cupcakes, candies, lollipops, fruit drinks, cookies, marshmallows
and jellies, at additional charges.
“Add-on” entertainment includes sand art, clowns, a magician, temporary tattoos and manicures. Helium balloons can be included as well.
By holding a party outside the home, there is no mess to tidy up afterwards. Also, the party crew can help you – from guest registration to co-ordination of activities – to ensure the party runs smoothly.
The venue has been previously used to host kindergarten visits, kindergarten sports day and a concert day.
Adults too have hosted events like Global Peace, Parents Day, Kids Market Place (for adults and children) and product launches.
