Airbnb unveils five cool home rentals in the country.
CAN you believe that Airbnb is already 10? Since its inception in 2008, the home vacation rental platform has changed the hospitality landscape of Malaysia.
In a recent statement, Airbnb said the company has helped Malaysia welcome over 26,700 guests from all over the world. It added that over 800 seniors (aged 60 and older) in the country, have earned some additional income by becoming hosts on the platform.
Airbnb regional director (Asia Pacific) Siew Kum Hong said Airbnb continues to provide authentic, sustainable and diverse options for travellers.
“We are especially pleased to see dynamic travel trends for both senior hosts and guests in Asia Pacific, and look forward to continuing to embrace this vibrant and much-loved community,” he said.
In celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary, Airbnb has unveiled five unique local Airbnb home listings in Malaysia. These venues have been “wish listed” by many travellers. – Chester Chin
