Love to my grandparents

-

RECENTLY, Starchild asked readers to write about their grandparents. Here’s what they have to say.

Aleesha Kaur Saini, seven, loves her grandparents because they are so lovable, caring and patient. She says they are the epitome of love. “My grandmother makes the best chapati and Punjabi meals. My grandfather is a creative man and loves to play with me. I enjoy spending time with them after school.”

Yang Ping Yu, 11, says, “I have kind and loving grandparents. They sell various things in their grocery store. Sometimes, my family members stop by the shop to help them. My grandma is a busy person. She works hard and takes wonderful care of my grandpa. I love them as much as they love me.”

“If I could, I would help my grandparents with household chores and other simple tasks each day. I wish them all the best in life,” says Yong Lee Ming,

11.

Lee Ying Sze, 11, writes: “My grandmother is 70 years old. I stay with my grandmother while my parents are at work. She picks me up from school each day. She fills her time by cooking, gardening or reading books. She is religious and a vegetarian.”

“If every day could be grandparents day, I would wish for the best for my loving grandparents,” says Chong Jia Xin ,11.

Putri Dhia Darwisya, nine, thinks her grandparents are the best in the world. “My grandparents took care of me when I was younger. They raised me to be an independent girl. I love every moment spent with them, from having fun in the playground to having meals to just being with them.”

“My grandmother loves to play with me and read story books to me. I enjoy dancing and learning how to bake muffins with Grandma,” says Anna Ruth Oh Hui Hann, seven.
