Brand of the year for the fourth time
MALAYSIAN natural latex bedding brand Getha was awarded with “The Brand of The Year” during the World Branding Awards held on Oct 31 in London, the UK, making this the fourth consecutive win.
Procuring the prestigious title in the mattress, bedding and furniture category, Getha has proven its worth as one of the top-notch brands in Malaysia.
Organised by the World Branding Forum, the World Branding Awards was officially orchestrated at the Kensington Palace, the UK. The forum represents a global non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing branding standards for the good of the branding community as well as consumers.
The awards recognises and celebrates some of the best global and national brands for their work and achievements. Winners are uniquely judged through three streams – brand valuation, consumer market research, and public online voting. About 70% of the scoring process comes from consumer votes. There can only be one winner in each category per country.
“To have been awarded for four years in row is truly the greatest honour for Getha.
Ever since our establishment, we have strived to provide the best products and service to our customers with innovative development as well as upholding the core value of cooperation,” said Getha’s export director Melissa Tan Chienyi.
Tan also stated that Getha will continue on its journey of excellence and never-ending improvement, to ensure the best quality of products delivered to the consumers.
Tan also introduced Getha's new series of radiation protection mattresses, the Compass Luxury, which comes equipped with bio-care electromagnetic shield technology.
Bio-care technology provides a solution to electromagnetic field pollution and has been developed after many years of research by Boyteks Engineers, who are experts in presenting the latest sleep solutions. It is the first of its kind in Malaysia.

“The awards celebrate the achievements of some of the greatest brands around the globe. With an average of just six winners per country, it is truly a great achievement to be a winner of these awards,” said chairman of the World Branding Forum Richard Rowles.
“More than 4,500 brands from 57 countries were nominated this year, with 351 brands from 49 countries declared as winners – 81 brands from 16 countries were awarded in New York and 270 winners from 33 countries awarded in London. Not every country was awarded, as a few did not receive enough votes to qualify,” added the forum’s chief executive Peter Pek.
