RECENTLY, Starchild asked readers to submit letters on the topic, favourite destination. Let’s hear what they have to say.

Chang Zhi En, 10, writes: “I have been to Australia, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and around Malaysia. My dream destination would definitely be Tanzania, to go on an adventurous safari.

“I would like to see animals roaming freely in their natural habitat and not caged up. I think I would enjoy all the activities in the wilderness.

“My dream destination is Japan because I would love to see the beautiful sakura flowers with my beloved family,” says Tan Kate-Lynn ,10.

Lara Alisha Colin, 12, wants to go to Penang. “I love Penang as it has lovely beaches, great food and historical monuments.”

ITEM: The new year is just around the corner. Some of us make new year resolutions – we may pledge to study harder, save more money or break bad habits. What do you hope for in 2019?

How will you usher in the new year? Are you going to attend a party or watch a movie with your family or friends?

You could also make a list of your new year resolutions. All letters must include your full name, age (open to children aged 12 and below only), gender, e-mail address, phone number and correspondence address.
