Nurturing nurses all the way
AS the first private hospital based nursing institution in the northern region, Lam Wah Ee Nursing College in Penang has been producing skilled and caring nurses since 1986.
At this well-established college, students benefit from the excellent teaching-learning experiences with effective clinical practice at the adjacent MSQH-accredited and ISOcertified Hospital Lam Wah Ee.
Besides academic performance, emphasis is also given to character building which will have a positive impact on the nurses’ personal and professional development.
All these factors have translated into the students recording a high success rate in the Malaysian Nursing Board Registration Examination over the years.
The three-year Diploma Nursing programme is not only fully sponsored but graduates are guaranteed employment with Hospital Lam Wah Ee upon graduation.
Registered with the Ministry of Higher Education and recognised by the Malaysian Nursing Board and Ministry of Health, the MQAaccredited programme comprises six semesters of theory integrated with hands-on clinical practice.
During training, students will receive a generous monthly allowance, twin sharing or three-bedded accommodation, uniform and shoes plus meals and medical care.
The curriculum equips students with knowledge and skills based on scientific principles and standard operating procedures to provide quality and holistic care to clients in the hospital and community.
