TECHNOLOGY is used all over the world on a daily basis. To create the technology we rely on so much, capable engineers are needed.
Engineering and technology is one of the most in-demand sectors today, which means plenty of job opportunities. Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Spanish Institute (UniKL MSI) is one of the universities that provide programmes for budding engineers.
Since 2002, this campus in cooperation with the Spanish government has offered various courses for Diploma and Bachelor in Engineering Technology. UniKL MSI specialises in mechanical, manufacturing, and eutomotive engineering courses which include electrical and electronics.
For the diploma level, UniKL MSI offers three courses: Diploma of Engineering Technology in Electromechanical Installation and Maintenance, Diploma of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Design and Development and Diploma of Engineering Technology in Automated Regulation and Control.
The programme deals with a wide range of knowledge and capabilities in design for manufacturers of mechanical products to prepare graduates with the technical skills and capabilities in current distribution installation.
UniKL MSI also offers the Bachelor of Engineering Technology programme in the field of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Automotive and Applied Electronic. There is also a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with Honours offered at the campus located at Kulim Hi-Tech Park.
The programme is focused on all types of mechanical systems design and development including automotive. It also deals with thermodynamics, heat transfer, structures and materials, fluid dynamics and advanced control systems.
Automotive engineering mainly focuses on the design, manufacture, and operation of engines and cars. It does not only offer theoretical training, but also practical application where the students will be able to experience machine and engine first-hand.
Moreover, when continuing your studies in this campus, the students will be equipped with the soft and hard skills needed to meet career requirements.
Rather than focusing on their area of specialisation, they will be exposed to other branches of knowledge such as management, business practices, leadership and entrepreneurship as an added value.
Besides learning about engineering, they can also create their own business by learning the subject after they finished their studies. As it shares the technology and expertise with Spain, UniKL MSI provides high technology workshops and laboratories with modern types of equipment, apparatus, machines and tools originally adopted from Spain.
The section houses consist of several laboratories and workshop, including Material Engineering Laboratory, Thermal Laboratory, Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, CAD/CAE Laboratory, Automotive Laboratories, Design Development and Prototyping Laboratories.
Located at Kulim Hi-Tech Park, UniKL MSI is one of UniKL’s campuses that offers fulltime degree and diploma programmes. UniKL’s intake for Diploma and Bachelor programmes takes place in January, July, and September.
