A joyful Christmas
WITH Christmas carols playing and sparkling decorations everywhere, it’s beginning to feel very festive.
Are you as excited about Christmas as we are? We know many readers can’t wait to upwrap presents and feast on delicious cakes and cookies.
To those celebrating Christmas, we wish you and your family a joyous celebration.
Let’s read what readers have to say about their Christmas.
“Near Christmas last year, I followed my grandfather to a few orphanages to spread good will and cheer.
My reward was the smiles and happiness of the children. It was priceless. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” says Sarah Celina , 10.
Axel Heart Danker-Benjamin, six, looks forward to Christmas as he gets to help his parents wrap gifts and put up Christmas decorations in their home.
“This year, I helped Mummy decorate our Christmas tree. It was so much fun.”
“I think Christmas is about giving and sharing,” says Joanne Rachel Ragavan , 12.
Cousin Jazlyn Emily Ragavan, 10, says Christmas is her favourite festival of the year. “Christmas it is not just about presents. To Christians, it is also the day Jesus Christ our Lord was born.”
Julia Tan Li Ying, 11 says, “My sister, brother and I are always very excited to decorate our Christmas tree and put an angel on the tip. We also help my mother bake and decorate cookies for Christmas. It has always been a tradition for my family to deliver cookies to other family members, orphanages, neighbours and friends.”
Her sibling Jodie Tan Li Juen, 9, says, “We all put the tree up together with the new and old ornaments and play Christmas music in the background and wear Santa hats.
Her other sibling Jayden Tan LI Sheng, 6, says “My favourite festival is Christmas. I can’t wait to sing at the church choir on Christmas day. I wish everyone Merry Christmas and, most importantly, to be healthy always.”
ITEM: Imagine if you could design a tree house. What would it look like? Would it look like the tree house from the fantasy movie, Bridge to Terabithia, or the Ewok village from sci-fi movie Return Of The Jedi? Would it be a multi-storey design with glow fairy lights? How about a do-ityourself tree featuring recyclable material?
