Holistic learning experience

ESTABLISHED in 1983 and a pioneer in Malaysian private education, the Cambridge Assessment International Education A-Level programme at KDU is one of the most accepted pre-university qualifications.

Not only does it aim to impart knowledge, but it also aims to develop students’ skill set, confidence, character and integrity to ensure a smooth transition into university life and prepare them to for future challenges.

In the latest A-Level examination, KDU soared high again with Top in the World award winners, Top in Malaysia winners and High Achievement awards winners.

KDU’s A-Level programme has a proven track record of consistently excellent performance, with over 60% of students achieving straight As in the recent Cambridge A-Level examination.

Among the notable high achievers was Alicia Loh, who won three Top in the World and Top in Malaysia A-Level awards. She went on to further her studies at the University of Cambridge, UK, after completing her A-Level programme with KDU.

“Studying at KDU was a great experience as the lecturers were knowledgeable, passionate and experienced. They were often willing to go the extra mile for their students and were also supportive during the university application process,” Loh said.

Another A-Level alumni, Sasha Yeoh Ee Ping, said the holistic learning experience provided by KDU equipped her well for the future.

Fellow A-Level alumni Jolyn Tan said studying A-Levels at KDU was made much easier thanks to the experience and calibre of the lecturers and resources available.

Since its commencement, A-Level students at KDU have gained acceptance into some of the top universities in the world.

The holistic learning experience provided by KDU’s School of PreUniversity Studies have enabled the school to be chosen by Petronas as one of the pre-university pathways for its scholars.

The partnership started in 1997 and the number of Petronas scholars enrolled in KDU’s A-Level programme has steadily increased over the years.

KDU also recently introduced the Independent Project Qualification (IPQ) by the Oxford International AQA exam board. IPQ provides a competitive advantage for A-Level students who wish to apply for top universities in the world.
