Cute furballs

-

ARE you a fan of Garfield, the fictional cat from the comic strip created by Jim Davis? Or do you prefer the cat from Dr Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat? These are the cats in popular children’s books and a comic strip.

Another well loved cat is Puss from the fairy tale Puss in Boots. This cat is known for distracting his enemies with his “cute kitten” looks. Another famous cat is the Grumpy Cat, an Arizona-based cat which has a form of drawfism where her face yields a perpetual frown. This cat, touted as one of the world’s famous feline sensation – has also graced the cover of New York magazine, appeared on American Idol season 13 and MTV Movie Awards.

As adorable as these cat characters are, we love cats best as pets.

I bet many of us are cat lovers, and have one or two or even more of these soft furballs at home

Recently, Starchild asked readers to send in letters on the topic, Cats. Alyson

Rainaa Kaur Gill, seven, loves cats of different colours and breed. “My cat’s name is Maria. I like cats because they are cute, cuddly and furry.”
