A memorable holiday

HI friends, have you been on a vacation? To me, a vacation is a time to be with family and friends. One of my most memorable holidays was a trip to London last month.

On the day of my flight, I woke up at 5.30am. I quickly jumped out of my bed, showered and got dressed for my trip. It was a good head start seeing my family members smiling happily that morning.

We arrived at the airport at approximately 7.15am. After checking in our luggage bags, we had breakfast and waited eagerly for our flight.

We flew to Dubai, and then to London. We finally arrived at Heathrow Airport in the evening. The following morning, we visited Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace to see the changing of guards. We also went on the London Eye in Jubilee Gardens.

From up there, we could see the Big Ben standing proudly, Westminster Abbey and other parts of London. The view was definitely something to remember.

The Christmas decorations along the street really boosted everyone’s spirits up. Christmas carols such as Jingle Bells and Santa Claus Is Coming to Town were music to my ears.

The next day, we went to the Warner Bros. Studios Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. I was excited to see the wonderful costumes, magnificent props and even the beautiful structure of Hogwarts Castle.

On our last day, we went to Cambridge which is about an hour’s drive from London.

We took a ride on the open top bus whereby we got the opportunity to see the whole of Cambridge town. We also visited the prestigious University of Cambridge too.

The next day, we packed our bags and travelled back to Malaysia. I will really miss London. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable vacation.
