Deadly silent stroke
SILENT stroke affects 82% of people with diabetes and hypertension. Most people know about stroke which often comes with acute symptoms like sudden headache, dizziness, and loss of motor skills. However, many are unaware that they are at high risks of getting silent stroke.
Silent attack on the brain cells
Silent stroke is a condition where the brain cells are damaged or died without the body knowing it. the brain has no sensory organs and therefore, any brain cell death does not generate any signal of pain or discomfort to you.
therefore, the silent attack will continue to attack brain cells silently until the major symptoms prevail years later – dementia, Alzheimer’s and a major stroke.
As high as four in five people with diabetes and hypertension had silent stroke and their brain condition is progressively getting worse every year.
the prevalence of hypertension in Malaysia is increasing and is reported as about 32% for adults above 18 years old.
As for diabetes cases that are increasing rapidly, there are approximately 21% above 30 years old reported as diabetics.
Studies from Japan found people with high blood pressure will have 58% chance in getting silent stroke.
And if you have a combination of diabetes and hypertension, the chance of suffering from silent stroke will increase to a shocking 82%.

palm tocotrienols
Palm tocotrienols, a unique extract from red palm oil, was researched and found to exert protection to the brain cells (neuroprotection).
the study was published in Journal of Stroke 2014, done on 121 human subjects with cardiovascular risk factors and brain White Matter Lesion (WML) – a form of brain cells damage.
twice a day, palm tocotrienols 200mg in Suprabio formulation was given to subjects with follow-up in year one and year two, comparing against subjects who took placebo pills (softgels with edible oil).

Suprabio formulation
the Suprabio formulation, with its 300% increase in absorption of tocotrienols, is critical to help deliver the tocotrienols benefits to the brain for protection.
taking 200mg of palm tocotrienols in Suprabio formulation twice a day helps to protect brain cells and slows the formation of WML which will also help to reduce the risk of getting a major stroke, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
long-term health supplement
the good news is that palm tocotrienols could be used as a long-term health supplement not just for the brain.
the latest clinical studies from the year 2014 to 2018 showed that palm tocotrienols can protect cells in the kidney and nerves
(3) for diabetics, helping to minimise cell damages (4) and therefore, reduces diabetes complications and pain.
