Structured
structural styles proved popular with several designers, including Comme Des Garcons, whose beauty look featured towering updos in Paris, and angel Chen, who drew attention to the near-vertical ponytails with colourful ribbon. at alexander McQueen in London, the humble ponytail was made more interesting with tight leather bindings.
Wet-look
Wet-look hair continued to dominate the runways this season – particularly in Milan, where Fendi opted for gelled quiffs, Versace showcased a slightly matted texture and roberto Cavalli put a sleek, glamorous spin on the trend. in London, Fashion East crafted a heavily-gelled look using broken combs as accessories, and Mary Katrantzou opted for a deep side part and a straggly texture. at Cyclas in Paris, the models also had their locks tangled and styled across their faces.
Bows
Bows have been trending both on and off the runway for some time now, and they remain very much in fashion for the autumn/Winter 2019 season. They were seen in Paris at Chanel, where they complemented elegant half-up styles, and in New York, where they took on a largerthan-life personality at Jeremy scott and made a softer appearance at Veronica Beard. in London, Molly Goddard styled the models’ hair into chunky ponytails using a ribbon that was wound around the head like a headband, before being wrapped and knotted over the hair and finished off with the tiniest of bows.
