My favourite hobbies
HOBBIES are fun activities that you do during your leisure time. Hobbies help us develop important life skills, such as creativity, confidence, and responsibility. Hobbies also serve as a good memory-booster. There are many interesting and unique hobbies in the world, for instance beekeeping, stamp collecting, geocaching (online treasure hunts), and reading. What are some of your favourite hobbies? Starchild wants to know.
Eleven-year-old Amira Dayana says, “My favourite hobbies are reading, drawing, colouring, and baking.”
Chung Wai Yan, six, writes, “I love to do gardening during my past time. I feel happy to see beautiful flowers in my garden.”
Seven-year-old, Uwais Ramadhan Nazrul Ramizan, says, “Drawing is my favourite hobby.”
Viknarubessh Nagaraja, six, says, “I love to cycle. My little brother and I will cycle together every evening.”
Dhannya Harsha, nine, writes, “I love to draw.”
Eleven-year-old Muhammad Nur Khalid Letchumanan says, “During my free time, I like to draw pictures of superheroes and scenery. It makes me happy to draw. Drawing is my favourite hobby.”
Parameswaran Ganasan, nine, writes, “Playing football with my brothers is my hobby.”
Kirtisha Letchumanan, nine, says, “My favourite hobby is to play with my dolls. I would usually talk and sing to them.”
Nine-year-old, Shambhavi Manimaran, writes, “Gardening is what I love to do in my past time. The smell of flowers relaxes me.”
ITEM: Halloween is coming up on the Oct 31. Halloween literally means “hallowed evening,” and was previously known to early European celebrators as All Hallows’ Eve. People normally associate Halloween with jack-o’-lanterns, black cats, witches, and other scary figures. What do you think Halloween celebrations look like?
