KUALA LUMPUR
The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) is likely to trade between US$20,600 and US$21,000 this week on the back of strong fundamentals, a dealer said.
For the public holiday-shortened week just-ended, the market traded between US$20,770 and US$20,830 a tonne. It ended at the week’s high of US$20,830 a tonne, US$380 higher from US$20,450 a tonne on Wednesday last week.
The price on the London Metal Exchange (LME) also increased by US$380 to US$20,750 a tonne from US$20,370 a tonne previously.
Weekly volume on the KLTM widened to 160 tonnes from 101 tonnes in the previous week.
The price differential between the KLTM and LME was at a premium of US$80 a tonne, similar to the previous week. – Bernama
