Cypark secures RM16.96 mil solid waste site contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Cypark Resources Bhd has won a RM16.96 mil contract from the Department of Solid Waste Management.

The contract is to design, build and complete the safe closure of solid waste disposal site at Bukit Palong, Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan. The stipulated completion date of the project is Nov 14, 2018, which is 60 weeks from the date of site possession on Sept 20, 2017, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Cypark for the financial years ending Oct 31, 2017 and Oct 31, 2018,” it added. Cypark said the works would further strengthen the company’s position as one of Malaysia’s leading specialists in solid waste management and integrated environmental solutions.
