Nasim banks on Peugeot 3008 to lift sales
SHAH ALAM: Local Peugeot vehicle distributor Nasim Sdn Bhd is confident that the newly launched Peugeot 3008 SUV will contribute strongly to its sales this year.
“Nasim is aiming to sell 1,800 units of Peugeot vehicles this year of which the 3008 SUV model is expected to account for 400 units or 22% of total sales,” Nasim senior general manager Yasser Awan said at the 3008 SUV’s launch here yesterday.
The new 3008 SUV has received 200 bookings prior to its official launch yesterday.
Also present was PSA Groupe general director of Asean operations, Lionel Faugeres.
The 3008 is available in two variants – Active and Allure – priced at RM142,888 and RM155,888 respectively.
The new 3008 SUV comes with a 1.6litre twin scroll turbo high pressure (THP) engine with Variable Valve Timing and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 3008 SUV’s stylish body, spacious interior and revolutionary Peugeot i-Cockpit layout enabled it to garnered accolades as ‘European Car of the Year 2017’ at the Geneva Motor Show 2017.
The vehicle also bagged the Grand Prix award for’ Best Interior Design of 2016’ at the 32nd International Automotive Festival.
Standard features include USB and Bluetooth connectivity, auto electric parking brake, automatic dual zone air-conditioning, six-speaker with 3D Arkamys sound system, premium luxury premium leather seats.
Safety features as standard are six safety airbags, Hill Start Assist, Electronic Safety Program (ESP), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Anti-Skid Regulation (ASR) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) as well as Advanced Grip Control and the Hill Assist Descent Control (HADC).
