KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has launched two new UniFi packages to cater to the needs of entrepreneurs on digital platforms and students in tertiary education institutions.

The special UniFi packages – UniFi ebiz and UniFi edu – are aimed at increasing business productivity and profitability, as well as enhancing student access to information available online.

The UniFi ebiz package will be offered via three different plans – Biz Lite, Biz Advance and Biz Pro for e-entrepreneurs, with broadband speeds of up to 100Mbps.

“UniFi ebiz package’s three unique plans will provide entrepreneurs with seamless broadband connectivity regardless of their locations, so they would not miss out on any business opportunities.

“Similarly, the UniFi edu package, which comes with the Lite, Advance and Pro plans, will help tertiary education students improve their academic performance wherever they are for their convenience,” said TM, adding that more information would be provided in due course.

The UniFi packages were launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak during his engagement session with TM employees at Menara TM.

The Prime Minister also launched UniFi’s “i-foundit” app that will enable users to go online via wifi@ unifi, formerly known as TM WiFi. The WiFi hotspot service’s charge of 10 sen per hour will be waived until Dec 31.

In addition to the new UniFi packages, a new chat application called Flow was launched to replace other instant messaging applications at work among TM employees.

TM said that Flow was created as part of its aggressive push towards digitisation and digitalisation as the company moves into new value-added digital and smart services.
