KUALA LUMPUR: Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd is at different stages of negotiation with local and international companies which want to have a presence in Medini Iskandar, its chief executive officer Dr James Tee said.

More companies are expected to establish their presence in Medini Iskandar City going forward, said Tee, who was one of the speakers at the Smart Cities Conference organised by the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the German embassy. Tee said Medini 9 tower would be completed by the second quarter of next year while Medini 10 by 2019.

These projects will be the master developer’s first high-rise office blocks in the 2,300acre Medini Iskandar, a township development within Iskandar Puteri in Johor’s Iskandar Malaysia.

“We are in serious negotiations with local and international companies. We welcome all local and international companies to either relocate, expand or start new business ventures in Medini City,” he said.

“We are open to any tenants as long as they can help us to build the city. There are no restrictions or quotas in this smart city,” he said, adding that the master developer will be completing its first high-rise office block next year.
