KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Foundation raised RM6.3mil at its charity night to fund its many charitable efforts in the coming years.

A new logo and vision was also launched following Mah Sing Group’s corporate branding transformation incorporating its key pillars of education, health, wellbeing and community development.

With the new vision “Reinventing hope, creating lasting change in children’s lives”, Mah Sing Group strategy and operations director Jane Leong said the company aimed to work closely with parents, families and communities to have a lasting change and sustainability in the lives of children.

Earlier this year, Mah Sing Foundation contributed RM1mil to Yayasan Pendidikan Tzu Chi Malaysia which will be used to develop the Tzu Chi International School in Kuala Lumpur and another RM1mil to the Baiti Jannati@Wilayah Persekutuan programme where it also handed over new homes to 10 families.

The recent floods in Penang also prompted the company to provide aid with a pledge of RM500,000 to those affected by the disaster.

“Mah Sing Foundation believes in investing in a better tomorrow, which we can achieve when every child is provided with the opportunity to thrive and fulfil their potential,” said Mah Sing Foundation chairman Datuk Indera Syed Norulzaman Syed Kamarulzaman.

During the ceremony in Kuala Lumpur, top donors presented mock cheques to the foundation.
