Sapura units win oil and gas contracts worth RM905mil
PETALING JAYA: Sapura Energy Bhd says its direct and indirect wholly owned units have secured five new oil and gas contracts with a combined value of RM905mil.
The awards marked the group’s first order book replenishment for the year, the company said in a statement.
Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd (SFSB) has bagged three contracts, out of which two were from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.
The first was to undertake a project to replace replacement compressors, piping and instrumentation, as well as other related topside facilities brownfield modifications and improvement at the ERB WEST platforms and Kinarut platforms.
The duration of the contract will be for three years, expiring in the third quarter of 2020.
The other work secured from Petronas Carigali is for the provision of minor engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) for the Bokor Betty brownfield and rejuvenation project.
The contract will expire in June 2022.
SFSB was also awarded a project by Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia BV to undertake the provision of EPCC plus installation for facilities in the North Malay Basin.
Meanwhile, Sapura Offshore Sdn Bhd (SOSB) has secured a subcontract from Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd to transport and instal jackets, piles, bridges and appurtenances at the Bokor Central Processing Platform project.
SOSB has also won a contract in India.
The company will undertake the provision of offshore/onshore pipeline and terminal works at the fifth oil berth project for Mumbai Port Trust. The works are expected to be completed by May 2019
