Central Pattana unveils i-City anchor tenants

PETALING JAYA: Central Pattana pcl, a Thai retail property developer and mall operator, has revealed the identities of three anchor tenants at i-City, Shah Alam, which is slated to open in the fourth quarter of the year.

Central Pattana said in a statement that the three anchor tenants were Sogo Department Store, Village Grocer and TGV Cinemas.

The mall, Central Pattana’s maiden internatio­nal regional shopping centre, will boast 940,000 sq ft of space and has a gross developmen­t value of RM850mil.

The company said the iconic shopping centre will include 350 retail shops with three levels of basement carpark and six retail levels. “The 200,000 sq ft Sogo Department Store in Central i-City will be spread over four levels. It will be the first Sogo in Klang and Shah Alam, and is a joint venture with Central Department Store Thailand.

“Village Grocer in the shopping centre will feature 40,000 square feet of retail space and is the first and largest branch in Klang and Shah Alam. It will offer a combinatio­n of grocery products as well as food and beverage offerings,” it added.

CPN said TGV Cinemas in Central i-City will house the first IMAX screen in the Klang and Shah Alam region. “It will also have eight digital screens to cater to a maximum audience capacity of 1,800.”
