Mah Sing counts on Meridin East township for its Ixora Commercial Centre

-

PETALING JAYA: Property developer Mah Sing Group Bhd expects its Johor-based Ixora Commercial Centre development to benefit from the rising demand for properties in Meridin East.

The company said the project is strategically located close to the booming Pasir Gudang Industrial Hub and Tanjung Langsat Industrial Park.

“It is also within driving distance to the Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex,” said the developer.

Following a public preview of the company’s 1,313-acre Meridin East township on Sunday, Mah Sing said it would be rolling out the first phase of its Ixora Commercial Centre, which comprises 54 units of two-storey shops and 12 units of three-storey shops.

“The two-storey shops and three-storey shops have indicative built ups from 2,895 sq ft and 4,334 sq ft, respectively, with an indicative starting price from RM650,000,” it said in a statement.

In the same statement, Mah Sing chief executive officer Datuk Ho Hon Sang said the company’s Ixora Commercial Centre would add vibrancy and be a catalyst for economic growth for Meridin East.

“It is timely for us to introduce Ixora, as we will be delivering vacant possession for more than 600 units of our Greenway (from April onwards) and Eden (from August onwards) two-storey link homes in 2018.

“Upcoming businesses in Ixora will be able to benefit from the existing catchment of the residents in Meridin East,” he said.

Ho added that Ixora Commercial Centre would be able to tap into the Kota Masai area, as new commercial developments would attract customers.

“Today’s public preview will allow buyers to register their interest for Phase 1 of Ixora Commercial Centre before its targeted launch in the second quarter of 2018.”

Mah Sing also said it would improve connectivity into Meridin East by building a connecting road into the Tanjung Langsat-Cahaya Baru Toll Connecting Highway, which forms part of the Senai Desaru Expressway.

The company will also widen Jalan Kong Kong into a 40-metre, four-lane thoroughfare.

“Both road infrastructure improvements are targeted to be completed by 2020,” said the company.
