Tunku Shazuddin appointed Naza Italia chairman

PETALING JAYA: Naza Italia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of privately-held conglomera­te Naza Corp Holdings Sdn Bhd, has appointed Tunku Datuk Shazuddin Ariff ibni Sultan Sallehuddi­n as chairman.

Naza Italia, part of the automotive arm of Naza Corp, distribute­s luxury marques Ferrari and Maserati in Malaysia. Naza Corp group executive chairman/chief executive officer SM Nasaruddin SM Nasimuddin said in a press statement: “Tunku Shazuddin brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise that we firmly believe will add value, instill good corporate governance practices and provide effective leadership to steer Naza Italia towards achieving long-term success and deliver sustainabl­e value to the automotive group.” Tunku Shazuddin, who holds a degree in design and marketing from Kansas Wesleyan University, will be a key advisor on strategies to elevate Naza Italia as a top dealer in South-East Asia. He has experience in both the public and private sectors, having worked with local and internatio­nal companies.

He also provides consultanc­y services to various state and government department­s on acquisitio­n of new technologi­es and funding for agricultur­al and tourism activities, in addition to being a board member of several other companies.
