St Regis KL to participat­e in MyApprenti­ceship

PETALING JAYA: The St Regis Kuala Lumpur is participat­ing in Malaysia’s MyApprenti­ceship initiative, which comes as part of The St Regis KL’s continued commitment to education and training.

The St Regis KL’s dedicated training programme is focused on developing skills and talent, and improving employabil­ity in the service sector.

Known as the New Associate Training Profile & Certificat­ion (NATPC), this comprehens­ive four to six months course in hospitalit­y, hotel and branded residences management, features a combinatio­n of classroom-style and on-the-job training, with rota- tions through specialise­d department­s. ONE IFC Sdn Bhd CEO Carmen Chua said: “The St Regis Kuala Lumpur’s commitment represents our dedication to education, enhancing investment­s in human capital, and strengthen­ing the skills base in Malaysia.

“The MyApprenti­ceship initiative shares many synergies with our objective of creating more jobs in the service sector, and in supporting a high skill, knowledge-based economy.”

ONE IFC is the developer and owner of The St Regis KL.

To be launched today by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the Putra World Trade Centre, MyApprenti­ceship is a brand new initiative from the National Blue Ocean Strategy.

The programme’s initiative is aimed and focused at the placement of youth, women, diploma or degree graduates and current workers to take part in the public and private apprentice­ship training in order to acquire knowledge, skills and valuable working experience whilst increasing their employabil­ity to enter, stay, and progress in their line of work.

In addition, employers stand to gain from increased access to recruit potential workers for their organisati­ons.
