4As offers scholarships to professionals at member agencies

-

THE Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) is once again offering scholarships to professionals working at 4As member agencies, providing them an opportunity to qualify for the IPA Foundation Certificate awarded by the Chartered Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA).

For 2018, the 4As will be boosting the number of IPA scholarships on offer to a total value of over RM124,000.

This is the second consecutive year the 4As is offering the scholarship programme to full-time advertising and marketing communications professionals, with the aim of providing up to date information and resources about today’s fast-changing world of advertising and marketing.

Andrew Lee, 4As President said, “The scholarships on offer are part of our commitment to raising industry standards and professionalism by fostering continuous profes- sional development within the industry, one of the key objectives of the 4As.”

“We hope that industry practitioners, especially entry-level executives, will take advantage of this benefit provided by the 4As to hone their skills,” he added.

Cutting edge topics covered by the IPA Foundation Certificate include Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, and Programmatic Buying. The learning modules are provided online through a mobile optimised platform for the delivery of webinars, podcast, expert opinion videos and interactive content, allowing course participants to access the information at all times, providing opportunities for continuous learning.

Since 2017, 4As has awarded over RM40,000 worth of scholarships to employees of 4As agencies for the IPA Foundation Certificate.

Widely regarded as a ‘rite of passage’ in the UK advertising industry, the IPA Foundation Certificate is an award-winning and internationally-recognised programme that provides a holistic overview of the advertising industry. Developed by the Chartered Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) UK, the Foundation Certificate offers knowledge that would otherwise take several years to acquire.

Khairudin Rahim, 4As CEO said: “The IPA Foundation Certificate provides a benchmark in best practice learning that is internationally recognised, augmenting on-the-job learning, induction programmes and training courses.”

The scholarship is open to full-time employees of 4As member agencies with less than five years’ experience, regardless of academic qualifications.

The scholarship’s application closing date is May 25.
