Rohas Tecnic unit bags RM37.8mil Bangladesh job
PETALING JAYA: Rohas Tecnic Bhd’s (RTB) 75%-owned subsidiary, HG Power Transmission Sdn Bhd (HGPT), has bagged a contract worth RM37.8mil from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh to refurbish the conductors of three transmission lines.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the engineering and construction company said the job includes, but is not limited to, the supply and installation of aluminium conductor composite cores.
This, RTB said, would replace the conductors of existing transmission lines that have a combined route length of 121km.
“The contract will not have any material impact on RTB’s results for the year ending Dec 31, 2018 but is expected to contribute positively in the future,” the company said.
In February, HGPT was awarded two contracts by Tenaga Nasional Bhd worth RM249.63mil for the supply and installation of transmission lines.
The first contract, valued at RM126.85mil, involved the supply and installation of 31.8km of 500 KV double circuit transmission line and 22.3km of 275 KV double circuit transmission line on a turnkey basis.
Meanwhile, the second contract, worth RM122.78mil, entails the supply and installation of 31.9km of 500 KV double circuit transmission line and 32km of 275 KV double circuit transmission line on a turnkey basis.
The lines will be installed from PMU Bentong South to PMU Lenggeng and from PMU Lenggeng to PMU Mahkota Cheras.
