Serba Dinamik wins RM268.5mil EPCC job in Laos

PETALING JAYA: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd has won a RM268.5mil contract for engineerin­g, procuremen­t, constructi­on and commission­ing (EPCC) work in Laos.

The EPCC contract was awarded by Nam Taep 1, 2, 3 Hydropower Co Ltd.

“This collaborat­ion with Nam Taep marks Serba Dinamik’s first step into Laos and is in line with our strategy to increase our involvemen­t in the energy market, as well as to enlarge our market presence in South-East Asia,” group managing director and CEO Datuk Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah ( pic) said in a statement.

“We currently have a total capacity of 120MW for hydropower plants,” he added.

The EPCC contract is for a duration of up to 43 months.

Meanwhile, Serba Dinamik said it is buying a 15% stake in Green & Smart Holdings Plc (GSH) for RM16.99mil through a share subscripti­on exercise.

GSH, listed in London on the AIM market, is involved in research and developmen­t, engineerin­g consultanc­y and process design services in the area of industrial biotechnol­ogy, pollution control and renewable energy, as well as EPCC of various waste water treatment plants/systems and developmen­t.

Its core business is power generation from biogas captured through the treatment of palm oil mill effluent.
