Omesti partners ViewQwest to offer improved fibre broadband services

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Omesti Group has collaborated with ViewQwest Holdings Sdn Bhd to provide improved Internet services for Malaysian customers.

Omesti Bhd executive director Mah Xian Zhen said the expected outcome from the partnership included ultra-high speed Internet connectivity, round-the-clock customer service and next-generation firewall protection.

“We are committed to improving the user experience for local customers by offering more stable bandwidth and better uptime features and we are confident this will be achievable with a solid backbone and the strong Internet service provider (ISP) sector experience of the ViewQwest organisation,” she said in a statement here yesterday.

Meanwhile, ViewQwest Holdings chief executive officer T. Arasoo said the company's niche expertise as a strong ISP in the communications sector is expected to add value in terms of high-quality fibre broadband ser- vices and customer service.

“Fixed broadband Internet services in Malaysia are lagging those of its neighbours and as such the government has mandated that services must be enhanced by yearend," he said.

ViewQwest Holdings is part of ViewQwest Group Singapore, a pioneer in ISP, while Omesti is engaged in the distribution, maintenance and development of computer hardware and software and advisory and consultancy for computer software solutions.
