Mercedes-Benz sees good response to new S-Class

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is confident of securing a good response to its new S-Class cars which have been enhanced with new features and luxurious appointments.

The new range consists the S450L which is priced at RM699,888 (RM705,888 with design and paint option), the S560 Cabriolet at RM1.31mil, Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe at RM1.46mil, while the Mercedes-Maybach S560 starts from RM1.4mil. Prices are zero-rated GST and subject to change upon implementation of the SST.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia vice-president of sales and marketing (passenger cars) Mark Raine said the company has received many orders for the new S450L which is its breadand-butter model for the line-up.

“We have also received orders for the Mercedes-Maybach S560 while the S63 Coupe which was featured at the launch has been snatched up by a customer,” he said at the launch here yesterday. Raine also said the S560 Cabriolet was expected to generate excitement when showcased to its customers.

Aside from powerful and smooth engines, Raine said the S-Class cars are equipped with premium features such as Distronic Plus semi-autonomous driving system, Air Body Control suspension, Burmester Surround Sound system and Widescreen Cockpit with COMAND Online infotainment, among others.

“With this launch of this exclusive Pinnacle of Luxury collection, we proudly underline our position as a leading luxury lifestyle brand in the automotive segment,” said Raine.
