KUALA LUMPUR: Next Bike Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Ducati motorcycles in Malaysia, has unveiled the Monster 821, Multistrada 1260 S and the Panigale in both V4 and V4 S trims.

The bikes are priced from RM65,900 (Monster 821); RM129,900 (Multistrada 1260 S); RM129,900 (Panigale V4) and RM169,900 (Panigale V4 S).

The company remains positive in expanding its current 11% market share in the European premium segment, following the launch of its four new bikes.

“We had a 20% increase in sales compared to last year. Our focus currently is to expand our current network to include another two more outlets this year with another four to open next year, as well as a new RM5mil state-of-the-art headquarters by second quarter of 2019 in Petaling Jaya,” said Naza Automotive Group head of division for bikes Nazman Yusof.

“We are always supporting our Ducati importers and we will continue to extend our full support to them,” said Ducati Motor (Thailand) Asia sales and marketing regional director Dominique Cheraki.

The 109hp Monster 821 pays homage to the first Monster 900 unveiled in 1993 and with its nostalgic looks, it has been equipped with the latest TFT colour display with gear and fuel indicators, an electronic quick-shifter and the latest Ducati Multimedia System.

Moving to the Multistrada 1260 S, the 158hp tourer features a host of standard features that include an electronic cruise control system, ride-by-wire system, Ducati Wheelie Control and Vehicle Hold Control among others. The Panigale – Ducati’s flagship ‘racehorse’, was unveiled in V4 and V4 S trim – both powered by a 1,103cc motor producing 214hp and uses Sachs-Showa suspension components as standard.
