PETALING JAYA: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd has strengthened its foothold in Central Asia and the Middle East after its wholly owned subsidiaries won two contracts in Oman and Turkmenistan collectively worth Us$163mil (Rm682.81mil).

The engineering solutions provider has also clinched three contracts in Malaysia, of which two are operations and maintenance (O&M) jobs and the other is an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Serba Dinamik said its unit, Serba Dinamik Sdn Bhd (SDSB), had won an EPCC contract in Turkmenistan to deliver supplementary equipment and automation of a 214-km gas pipeline for state concern Turkmengas. The contract is effective from Sept 13, 2019 until work completion.

Meanwhile, the contract in Oman was secured by Serba Dinamik International Ltd (SDIL) to provide O&M works for pumps, compressors and other associated rotating equipment of Revenue International LLC. The contract, which began on Aug 14, 2019, will be in effect until Aug 13, 2022.

The O&M contract comes with an extension offer of another one year. Meanwhile, the second O&M contract - awarded by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) appoints the company as a panel contractor for the mechanical rotating equipment services and parts for the Petronas group of companies and petroleum arrangement contractors.

The third contract, which was awarded by Asean Bintulu Fertilizer Sdn Bhd, was to provide EPCC works for the ABF Third Boiler project in Sarawak.

The contract is effective from Sept 6 until its completion of work.

“The O&M contracts (in Malaysia) have no specific value, as they are on a “call-out” basis, whereby the work orders will be awarded at the discretion of the clients based on its activity schedules and rates throughout the duration of the contracts.

“The contracts secured are expected to contribute positively to the Serba Dinamik group’s earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019,” Serba Dinamik said in the stock exchange filing.
