Carried away

IT’S just so easy to get carried away with the unpredictable Lil’ Kev and the vivacious Sarimah on the all new Red Breakfast show (Monday to Friday, 7am10am) and that’s what they literally did to one listener.

Waking up at the crack of dawn last Sunday for the 4th International Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012, Lil’ Kev was there to catch the colourful balloons in all its glory. As Sarimah was unable tomake it, a contest was held to find a listener who could join Lil’ Kev on a free balloon ride. After a rigorous test, student Desiree Michelle Fernandez was selected for coming close to match Sarimah’s voice talents and step in as her “body double”. The two took to the skies with sweeping views of Putrajaya and like the morning show, it was a breathtaking joyride. You too have the chance to get carried away with a win on Red FM’S Sorry Uncle 50K’s Not 4 U contest. RM50,000 is up for grabs and if you know what text abbreviations such as 1DR, ZUP or 2NTE stand for, here’s the chance for you to take away your share of the cash.

Each weekday, a line will be posted on Red FM’S Facebook, Twitter and website, for example, r u ready 4 dis? Decipher the message and then listen out on-air for the cue to call. When the cue comes on, call the station at 037728 1049. If your call is selected as the 9th lucky caller through, give them your answer. If you are correct, you stand to win a cash prize anywhere from RM200 up to RM550. If the wrong answer is given, the money snowballs. You could also win RM1,000 during the bonus hour. It’s game on from now till April 13!
