Zambry denies removing Samsudin

-

KUALA SAPETANG: Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir has denied that Perak State Development Corporation chief executive officer Datuk Samsudin Hashim has been removed from his position.

Dr Zambry said he would make the appropriate announcement soon on samsudin’s position.

“I will announce whether he stays or leaves,” he told reporters yesterday after launching the 41st national-level World Forestry Day at Eco Education Centre of Mangroves in Matang near here.

Pakatan Rakyat had claimed that Samsudin was informed of his removal earlier this month and it would take effect at the end of March.

Dr Zambry scoffed at Pakatan’s claims that Samsudin was removed for his low level of tolerance for corruption.

When contacted, Samsudin declined to comment on his position.

Dr Zambry also welcomed the views of former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin that Barisan Nasional has the upper hand of forming the next state government in Perak in the general election.
