Surfer falls on shark but survives attack

BRISBANE: A 20-year-old surfer has survived a shark attack off a popular Australian tourist beach.

University student Billy O’leary was surfing off Nobby Beach in Gold Coast when he fell off his board and landed on the shark.

O’leary managed to swim to shore and paramedics treated his lacerated left leg on the beach.
