KBU’S Master in Business Administration (MBA) conducted in collaboration with Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom provides students an opportunity to participate in a European residential at no extra cost.

The week-long residential is organised annually by the university for all its global partners with several objectives, namely, to give students exposure to the business environment, culture, economy and technology of a foreign country.

It is also helps students gain insight on companies in Europe.

Students are made more aware of international management issues and benefit from the intensive programme of learning lectures, talks by industry specialists, case studies, company visits, cultural events and tour.

This year, the residential was held in Anglia Ruskin’s Cambridge campus in February. KBU’S Lim Hui Xin and Nathan Tan joined a group of students from the Netherlands, France, India and Thailand.

The week’s programme was packed with activities ranging from lectures, talks by business owners, group projects, visits to ARM plc and Abcam plc, seminars on entrepreneurship and leadership, and a visit to Cambridge University.

Hui Xin was full of praise for the event which she said benefited her tremendously. She found that the Dutch and French students were more expressive and willing to offer their opinions freely.

Nathan was very excited to share his experience by presenting a slideshow to his course mates. He said he made lots of friends from diverse cultural backgrounds, which has boosted his self-confidence.

The programme made a significant impact on both participants who strongly encouraged and recommended their coursemates to participate in the next residential.

Residentials were held previously in Brussels, Berlin and Paris on a rotation basis.

KBU’S MBA is designed for young executives and senior managers aspiring to equip themselves with advanced management knowledge, to enhance their critical and strategic thinking skills and accelerate their career progression.

The academic calendar consists of two semesters in a year (January to April, and September to December). Each semester is spread over 14 weeks, giving students space to balance their professional, personal and university life. The programme is based purely on coursework assessments.

To facilitate tuition fee payment which is payable by semester, the college has an arrangement with RHB Bank to provide 0% interest Instalment Plan with RHB credit cards.
