SEPANG: Felipe Massa’s face lights up when talking about his son.

“He never stops now. He moves all the time. It’s a fantastic feeling,” said the Scuderia Ferrari driver.

The Brazilian became the proud father of Felipinho on Nov 30, 2009, after marrying Anna Raffaela Bassi.

And when he is not racing at top speed, Massa’s thoughts are with his family.

“You don’t really think about your family, your son, your wife. You have so many things to do, to think about. But when you stop driving, then you remember,” he said with a smile to reporters during a Shell V-power event here yesterday.

On his rocky start to the season at last week’s Australian F1 Grand Prix,

Massa said he believed everyone faced both good and difficult times in their career.

“For sure, you learn more with difficult times. What’s important is to keep stepping forward,” he said firmly.

A Scuderia Ferrari F1 driver since 2006, Massa said his mentality was that overcoming difficult times would make him even stronger.

“You always need to be ready to fight everybody,” he said confidently when asked of his thoughts on this weekend’s race, the second of the 2012 F1 season.

The Brazilian is a well-known face on the F1 circuit, but what many don’t know is that he is an avid Robert de Niro fan as well as a lover of mafia movies.

Goodfellas, Once Upon a Time in America and Casino with Robert de Niro are all fantastic,” he enthused on his official website.

He also names one of his “craziest hobbies” as shopping, adding that he likes to buy clothes and watches.
