April 12, 1987

Ang May Hong, 9, went out to the market by herself to get breakfast and never made it home. Her father found her body three hours later in an empty house not far from her house in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. She was raped and strangled and had a piece of wood shoved partially into her vagina.

Jan 12, 1996

Tin Song Sheng, 7, was abducted from his school of SRJK Taman Rasah. It was later reported Song Sheng was seen begging near a low-cost housing scheme in Pontian, Johor. He was never found.

Aug 17, 2001

S. Maniarasi, 4, was abducted at her family’s grocery shophouse in Taman Air Bemban in Kulai. The child’s body was later found floating in a reservoir in Ulu Choh about 50km from their home.

Jan 17, 2004

Nurul Huda Abdul Ghani, 10, was found naked in the guardhouse of a Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) substation in Kampung Pekajang, Tanjung Kupang in Johor Baru. She had been gang raped and sodomised before being strangled. Two suspects were arrested while a third suspect is still at large.

Haserawati Saridi,

10, was on her way to school in Menggatal, Sabah when she was raped and stabbed to death. A 31-year-old drug addict was sentenced to death by the Kota Kinabalu High Court for her murder.

July 6, 2007

Shearwey Ooi Ying Ying, 4, was reported missing from her mother Jess Teh’s car. Teh and her then boyfriend, Ong Chee Leong, were later arrested in connection with the case. Shearwey was believed to have been murdered, burnt and her bone fragments strewn in different places in Penang.

Aug 20, 2007

Nurin Jazlin Jazimin, 8, went missing after going to a night market near her home in Wangsa Maju. Her naked body was found stuffed in a sports bag and left outside a shoplot in Petaling Jaya. Her killer is still at large.

Jan 9, 2008

Sharlinie Mohd Nashar, 5, went missing while playing near her house in Petaling Jaya. She has not been found until today.

June 4, 2010

Nisha Chandramoh­an, 2, who suffers from epilepsy, went out for a walk with her mentally-ill grandaunt. The aunt was found but the child remains missing.

March 1, 2012

Nurul Nadirah Abdullah, 5, was reported missing after she failed to return after going to a grocery shop to buy eggs and instant noodles. Her charred remains were found at a plantation in Nusa Damai, Johor.

Satishkuma­r Tamilvanan, 5, went missing after he went to buy some sweets at a food court in Jalan Permatang Pauh, Bukit Mertajam, at 12.30pm while his lorry driver father and grandfathe­r each thought the other had the boy. The boy has not been seen since.

William Yau Zhen Zhong, 6, went missing when his parents left their three children in the car while they went to check out washing machines at an electrical outlet.
