Out of danger

Malaysian student Esmond Chuah who was injured in the Nice attack passed the critical period as his medical tests came back clean of internal bleeding or neurological damage. The Singapore University of Technology and Design student was in the French resort city for a summer programme with 12 of his coursemates.

Passenger protection

The Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) introduced the Malaysia Aviation Consumer Protection Code 2016, which is designed to protect air passengers’ rights in Malaysia. Under the code which was adapted from international guidelines, airlines and airports will have to resolve passengers’ complaints within 30 days.
