Donald Trump officially clinched the Republican Party’s presidential nominee after he earned the 1,237 delegates during a roll call vote overshadowed by dissent and apathy atypical of what is traditionally a celebration of the party’s White House candidate.

High-speed ties

Malaysia and Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail (HSR) 350km rail project, which would reduce travel time between the two countries to just 90 minutes. The HSR project is targeted for commercial operations in 2026.
