New exams council head
MOHD Fauzi Mohd Kassim has been appointed as Malaysian Examinations Council (MEC) chief executive effective July 19.
He takes over from Dr Jamil Adimin who has retired.
Mohd Fauzi previously served as MEC deputy chief executive 1 and is an expert in measurements and assessments at the pre-university level.
He obtained his Bachelor of Arts majoring in Malay Literature from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Master’s of Education in measurements and assessments from Universiti Malaya.
He also obtained a Diploma in Education from Institut Bahasa, Kuala Lumpur.
Mohd Fauzi started serving at the Malaysian Examinations Council from November 1994. He was previously a teacher at Segamat High School, Johor.
