Have a thought for our other Rio Olympians

OUR medal-winning Olympians are certainly appreciated and they deserve fully the glory, praise and generous rewards they will be receiving.

But have we completely forgotten their Olympian colleagues who were selected, trained with them and tried as hard to stand on the podium but were not successful? Try being in their shoes and ask ourselves how we would feel!

We say that sports can be the unifying factor for a united Malaysia yet we are dividing our Olympic team this way.

Please consider giving ang pau of RM10,000 to each non-medal Olympic athlete to say thank you for trying. We all need to be appreciated. If we have to choose between being kind and being right, choose being kind and we will always be right.
