LONDON: Scotland Yard said it has arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly stealing personal photos from Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge.

The suspect was arrested on Saturday evening at a residence located in the British county of Northampshire.

Police are probing the alleged hacking of Middleton’s iCloud account, in which she had stored personal pictures including those of her sister Kate, Prince William, and their children George and Charlotte.

According to British tabloids The Sun and Daily Mail, media outlets were approached by an anonymous person through an encrypted message sent via messaging service WhatsApp, offering to sell photos of the royal couple and their children.

Reports indicate the hackers may have stolen around 3,000 photos from Pippa’s private album, including shots of wedding dresses and private parties.
