> A woman wrote to an advice column in Mingguan Malaysia, saying that her husband had committed adultery unintentionally as he was under a black magic spell.

“Has he sinned?” asked the woman who wrote under the pseudonym “Confused Wife”.

The ustaz who replied to her query said: “If he had committed adultery in a conscious and rational state, then it is a big sin.”

He asked “Confused Wife” about her husband’s state of mind then.

“If he said he was unconscious at that time, it meant he would not even remember anything at all.”

“Was his level of unawareness up to that stage? This has to be verified. Don’t give simple excuses like black magic as a way to escape,” he said.
