Grad on pimping charges

Duo face more charges involving five college girls for hire

A medical graduate has been accused of leading a double life, that of a pimp offering college students and underage girls to clients at several hotels in the Klang Valley. Alleged to have been operating for the past year, he and an accomplice have been charged with more than 70 counts of living off immoral earnings.

PETALING JAYA: A medical graduate and a hotel worker have been accused of pimping college and underage girls.

Yesterday, they were slapped with 23 charges of pimping five college girls, including an Indonesian.

Just a week ago, they were brought to court for 54 similar charges, which also involved underage girls.

They are accused of operating from several hotels in Subang Jaya and Kuala Lumpur.

Khairul Azzuar Yusoff, 28, who graduated from a university in Egypt, even faces a charge of raping a 14-year-old student.

He is said to be waiting for his turn to be called up to serve his housemansh­ip.

His co-accused is Mohyuddin Ahmad Fajaruddin, 23.

Khairul Azzuar is charged with four counts of living on the earnings of prostituti­on and immoral activity of the victims aged between 19 and 22, while Mohyuddin, who works in a hotel, faces five charges.

They were charged under Section 372A(1) of the Penal Code.

The two were also jointly charged with three counts of abetting one another with living on the earnings of the immoral activity of the five women.

The offence was allegedly committed at several hotels around Subang Jaya between May last year and January this year.

Yesterday, they claimed trial before judge Mohamed Mokhzani Mokhtar who fixed April 18 for mention.

DPP Mohd Abazafree Mohd Abbas prosecuted while the accused were not represente­d.

On March 8, the two pleaded not guilty before Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court judge M. Kunasundar­y to 54 counts of similar offences.

Khairul Azzuar and Mohyuddin faced three charges of acting as a middleman for the prostituti­on of the women.

The offences were allegedly committed at several hotels around Kuala Lumpur between June last year and Feb 7 this year.

The court did not grant bail but fixed April 6 for mention.
