Foreign women caught working as belly dancers

Immigratio­n officer: Bangladesh­is paid based on flower garlands received

WOMEN from Bangladesh have been brought in to work as belly dancers at several entertainm­ent joints in Kuala Lumpur.

These women, aged 20 to 25, were made to wear the saree and entertain Bangladesh­i men, Harian Metro reported.

“They would be paid based on the number of flower garlands they received,” said Federal Territory Immigratio­n deputy director Mohd Sharulniza­m Ismail.

On Thursday night, an enforcemen­t team raided two such premises and detained 27 Bangladesh­is, including 14 women.

Most of these women had abused their social visit passes or student permits, he said.

The couple have travelled to Indonesia and Europe, among other places.

Ramona, whose full name is Rosramona Qadira Mohd Zamzam, said her husband had suggested that they should still travel even if she was expecting.

“He wants our child to be a honeymoon baby,” she said.

Ramona recently finished shooting a drama, Hola Hermosa, which will be aired soon on TV1.

However, Kosmo! in its report noted that Adi Putra did not use the word divorce or separation. He had merely said that the privacy of both women should be respected.
