She escaped and lodged a police report. The teen, who worked as a cook, was arrested the next day.

He was recently jailed for 34 months for the crime that happened at about 9pm on March 16 last year.

To the husband’s dismay, he also found out from a paternity test that his daughter, born in April last year, was not his.

The man, identified only as Yuan, married Xiao Li two years ago, China Press reported.

He claimed that Zhang Ming, a well-connect- ed and influential man in the underworld, had been intimidating him to let go of his wife.

Yuan also alleged that he found 17mil yuan (RM10.9mil) in cash, jewellery and other expensive accessories in Xiao Li’s possession before they got married but he never asked his wife about it.

Eventually, he learned that his wife and Zhang had known each other during their teenage years.

But they continued with their affair even after Xiao Li got married.

Following months of suffering, Yuan said he divorced his wife in last August as he could no longer tolerate the threats to his safety.
