Quake in Bali

Tourists fled their hotels in panic in Bali after the popular Indonesian holiday island was rattled by a 5.5-magnitude quake. There were no reports of casualties and damage.

P. Ramlee honoured

Malaysian legend P. Ramlee was honoured in a Google Doodle dedicated to the prolific actor, director and musician on his 88th birthday. The image incorporat­ed in the Google Doodle showed the star as people best remember him — sporting a thin moustache and a checkered suit, his head cocked slightly to the side.

Westminste­r attack

Four people were killed and 40 injured in a lightning terror attack near Britain’s parliament building, Westminste­r Palace, in London. The attacker mowed down pedestrian­s on the Westminste­r Bridge in a speeding car before crashing into the fence of the heavily-guarded Houses of Parliament. The assailant then ran through the gates brandishin­g a knife and stabbed a 48-year-old policeman to death before being shot dead by another officer.
