His body was found pinned to the seat by a team of rescuers.

Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said authorities spent at least 45 minutes removing the body from the wreckage.

“The Fire and Rescue Department helped us recover the body. We are in the midst of tracking down his next-of-kin,” he said.

According to witnesses, Supt Wan Kamarul said, it was likely that Ahmad Saidi had fallen asleep behind the wheel during the 2.40am incident yesterday.

“We were told that he was driving on the left lane of the expressway before abruptly entering the middle lane.

“Seeing how he was losing control of the trailer, one of the witnesses said he flashed his car’s headlights to alert him.

“Then, the victim swerved to the left, ramming into the road divider before plunging down the ravine.

“He was believed to have died on the spot,” he said.

In another case, a Pakistani man died when his motorcycle collided with a car along Jalan TUDM, Kampung Baru Subang, here.
