Aiman: She’s like a sister to me
No romantic sparks with co-star Emma, says actor
AIMAN Hakim Ridza was amused when some fans expressed a desire to see him and Emma Maembong – they are both in the soon-to-be-released movie Kimchi Untuk Awak – as a real-life couple, Harian Metro reported.
He said they were merely colleagues.
“Emma’s child-like nature makes me treat here as a younger sister, not more than that.
“What I hope is that fans are praying for Emma and (her current beau) Kamal Adli to walk down the aisle,” he said.
Aiman, who played a Korean man named Daniel Lee in the movie, said facing the movie camera for the first time was daunting, unlike his usual experience of acting in drama series Black Belt Kaler Pink. However, Michael Ang’s skilful directing made it easier for him.
He added that it was challenging having to learn the Korean language, but his sister, who has lived in South Korea, helped him while he also saw several South Korean dramas and films to get a “feel” of the presentation, body language and accent.
Kimchi Untuk Awak will be screened in cinemas nationwide from March 30.
